TRANSFORMATION HAS EGOLESSNESS AS ITS BASIS. WITHOUT EGO,
YOU EXPERIENCE AN EXPANSIVENESS OF BEING IN WHICH EGO
HAS NO MEANING OR NECESSITY.

The process by which we progress in consciousness step by step is called vividisha in Sanskrit. Another method is vidyut, which means lightning; a Vedic aphorism likens this to a thousand radiant suns exploding simultaneously. Instead of rainfall filling a stream or pool of water by degrees, suddenly an enormous cloudburst floods everything. The same principle applies in the spiritual realm. One approach is to be good, do good, be charitable, don’t lie, don’t be jealous or competitive; if you can’t help others, at least don’t harm anyone, be friendly, etc. Another approach is to discover within you a higher law by which virtues, vices and conflicts cease to be. That sudden discovery is powerful enough to disarm anyone.

FROM THE SPIRITUAL POINT OF VIEW, we believe that growth is a matter of unfolding rather than mere learning or achievement. Wisdom cannot be taught or achieved; it is not imbibed by effort or accomplishment but unfolds from a hitherto hidden potentiality. The truth is, if you fail to reach the Goal it is not because you don’t believe in progress but because you stop unfolding. You stop opening to your potential, you cease communication with the Cosmic Forces or Godhead.
Transformation has egolessness as its basis. You will see that ego itself is the greatest block. Without ego, you experience an expansiveness of Being in which ego has no meaning or necessity. This existence cannot be put into language; at the most we can call it transformation. Certain things can’t be taught; you have to catch the idea from your Being. This communication is exactly what is needed for transformation. We do not practice for years, decades or births in order to achieve something; we practice in order to become qualified for that last breakthrough.

Transformation brings a totally new set of laws. In the last century we achieved flight and today we have spaceships reaching the moon and beyond. A time may come when vehicles will not need fuel; simpler laws will apply, no machine may be needed. There are many examples today in modern physics. We will transcend the laws of gravity and motion. You will simply disappear here and reappear somewhere else, without any calculations. These new laws are being communicated to us by Higher Beings in a way that transcends learning as we know it.
Transformation cannot be taught—you have to catch it directly. There won’t be any boiling of potatoes, adding gravy, slicing cheese, mixing together and baking in the oven. You will discover such laws of energy that you won’t have to spend hours in the kitchen; you will absorb energy directly from the cosmos as we do with solar energy. In transformation you are not hiding or suppressing anything, or trying to be something other than what you are, nor are you fighting with the pros and cons of right and wrong, evil and virtue.
So let’s come down to practicalities, how to come to transformation. You cannot suddenly cut yourself off from where you are at present, that’s understandable. Whatever your situation or life pattern may be, begin to sort it out. Make your life simpler, more concise, attending to necessities, retaining only what is needed. Avoid superfluities, wasting time and energy. Use your time and energy for that which is worthwhile. Practicality is needed to come to transformation.

Teaching from the basis of eternal Truth, the message of Swami Amar Jyoti's Satsangs (Sanskrit: communion with Truth) is one of deep spiritual unity.  His way is not to espouse a particular creed but to impart a spiritual way of life.   He spent four decades (from 1961-2001) awakening and uplifting countless souls around the world to God-consciousness and disseminating the timeless Truth underlying all traditions and faiths.  Prabhushri Swamiji authored several books; over seven hundred of His oral discourses, illuminating the classical path for modern times, are available on CD and audiocassette.
