Even when two people are quarreling, you will find that somewhere deep down there is that basic, Divine Love, although the outer expression is negative and filled with tension. From the Divine it corrupts to the human and expresses in different shades, but the very quarrel happens because they love each other, basically, inside. Otherwise they would have nothing to do with each other. And why do they keep on living together? If you delve more deeply, you will see that it is not a love-hate relationship, it is basically only a love relationship. Because it has become corrupted, therefore you see the opposites manifesting. Hatred, quarrels, negativity and even greed and selfishness are born out of corruption, but the basis will always be Love.

HIS PERFECT EXPRESSION OF LOVE is manifested in the lives of the Prophets, saints and sages. Whether it is Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Ramakrishna, St. Francis, Chaitanya, Kabir, Mira, St. Theresa, Rumi or Shiraz, you will find that their Love is constant, without hate or repulsion. They have transcended the corrupted form of love and come to that very pure stage of unconditional, Divine Love. Therefore their Love is always giving and pure. It has no dualistic or opposing factor. They are free of that.
 

Come what may, they are unconditional. They do not practice unconditional Love, they arrive at it. Unconditional Love is not a virtue you achieve by practicing day by day. Conditioned love you practice. You think, "How will I meet and behave with this person? How will I show my love to him?" Those are corrupted forms of love. The Absolute is not to be practiced; you arrive at It or realize It. Once you do that, you are at home.
      And then all worries, quarrels, negativity, skirmishes, and tensions of any kind are washed off, right away. Love does that. You do not blame anyone, irrespective of their qualities. You do not need to practice how to let go or be detached; it automatically happens. You are struck deeper into your Love. It is almost synonymous with Awareness and Consciousness. Where joy is, Love is. Love is joyous. That is Consciousness. That Consciousness is the Creator, and it is out of Love and joy that He creates. In Vedic terms this is called Satchitananda, "Existence, Consciousness, Bliss." You can sacrifice kingdoms and let go of any enmity. You will hold no grudge against anyone. Love will tell you how to be free from these tiny things. You will not have to think how to let go or how to overcome such heaviness of mind. Love makes you lighter, automatically. If you are a loving person, you will be joyful.
