OUR RELAXED ATTITUDE OR MOOD brought in by feeling God’s Presence, the right way you act, the right way you think, the right way you feel, begin to open up this passage. Then all the blocks and resistances, including inertia, tiresomeness and laziness fly away. This is not magic; it just happens that way. And it does not need very high-class knowledge, actually. Knowledge comes after this passage is open. Before that, whatever knowledge we boast about is just groping in the darkness, babbling in a dream—if you do not mind my frank words. Whether or not you know the mechanism; whether you understand any A, B, C or D about it; whether or not you have any blueprints of these things is immaterial. You do not have to give excuses for why you do things or not. You do not have to convince God or your Master of anything. They know. Only go on the right path, use feelings rightly, and move in the right direction. Your body-mind complex will begin to open up with more capacities in a very nice way.
      Bring in this idea: the Presence of God, the Presence of Light within you. That is number one. That horse has to be brought in front of the cart. Not by words but in your practical life, within your duties, your relationships, the pattern of life you live. This requires faith that the horse will never leave the cart behind and run away. Faith is indispensable. We lack this very faith, therefore we miss the boat, at least for the time being. There is no way that complaints, appeals, pleading and grievances will help in this matter. If you are tired, go and rest; then start again to focus on this Presence.

      There is no deficiency, no incapacity, no imperfection or darkness that will not be relieved by this one central idea: Feel the Presence of God. Feel that between you and me, between you and a tree, between you and the food you are eating, between you and the things you use, between everything there is a force. That force is Shakti, which is connecting us to God’s Presence and Consciousness. That you can feel. You cannot touch it by hand but it is there.
      The very way that I am able to communicate with you and you are understanding is because of this Shakti. You might say it is just air waves carrying the sound that reaches your ears. That is a very mechanical explanation. There is a subtler way of looking at this. The communication occurs through the force, energy or vibrations that are not only sound but at the same time can be electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism. You are missing that level of understanding when you are tied up with your brain and ego, when you are involved with your selfishness—”I’m tired, I am this, I am not this, I would like this, I don’t like this….” You are missing this contact all the time because you are too involved in your body-mind complex. If you just feel this Shakti, the connecting vibrations, you will feel God’s Presence. This is the force of God, of Light, of Consciousness that runs throughout the universe. This is our Goal and our starting point, without which I do not think anyone will ever be satisfied, despite trying any other methods or means.
