Coming in tune with God or nature has been called egolessness. We have to merge our ego unto That in order to come in tune with the simplicity of creation. And it is very, very easy. You may ask, “What can I do? I have conditions like this . . . ” What I am saying is that those conditions are superfluous. Why do we maintain such conditions? The conditions around us are the very product of our superfluous personalities, superfluous thinking and feeling.
Revelation is called shruti according to the Indian scriptures. It is a vision, a seeing. A seer is one who can see through illusion. This has nothing to do with intellect and thinking. Childlike simplicity has no thinking in it. It is simply love and devotion and surrender unto God and then revelation takes place. Even very miserable times or conditions reveal their hidden beauty once our hearts are melted in love and devotion. In times of misery or chaos, whatever they may be, just be tolerant, be patient, surrender your mind unto God. You will begin to see the Light in spite of any seeming losses. Of course there are no losses, as I see. But even if you cannot see that way and you feel some loss, bring your mind to an attitude of surrender unto God and you will see the Light and Truth coming out at that very moment.

At any time of day or night you can turn your misery into joy. By joy I do not mean to be outgoing, jumping up and down or calling everyone you know. Joy is born from within you—your inner being. Joy is born from patience, tolerance, forgiveness, mercy, compassion and seeing other points of view. Joy means no stubbornness, no over-sensitivity, no deceiving, no brainwashing and no domination over others or even over oneself. I always feel those who want to dominate or rule over others are first slaves of their own being. If they were free in themselves, they would not dominate over others. Only those who are weak in mind try to rule over others. That is their insecurity and false personality. When we do that the results show that we feel miserable; we feel a loss of peace. If ruling over others brought us security, we should feel peaceful and happy. God never made us to rule over others. One Ruler is more than enough.
If we are His instruments, we have to perform our own duties with childlike simplicity. Then nature is our friend, our companion, wherever we go. I have gone to the dire corners of the world in many nations, and I have always found friends and loving people. If you flow in tune with nature, these things happen. That has been called surrender—coming in tune with God and His nature. And when that happens, revelation takes place. There is nothing higher than revelation. Thinking ends long before it. Even intuition is lower than revelation, which carries you to ecstasy.
