UNCONSCIOUSLY WE ARE DOING EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF LOVE.
THAT LOVE IS CONDITIONED WHEN WE SAY: "I'M DOING OUT OF LOVE...
I'M HELPING YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU."

We can understand well about relative love between brothers, sisters, parents, children, lovers, friends, etc., because it is so tangible and dualistic. But this Love of which I speak is not dualistic; it is unconditional. Whether it is a couple, a family, a society, a nation, a planet, a solar system or galaxy, the basis behind all these, which holds everything together, will always be Love. You can develop an eye to see this in any situation. Look at the earth, stones and boulders, for example. We think of this as plain earth or terrain, but a geologist would explain it in his own way. Each discipline has its formalized, structured explanations, but if you were a poet, you would describe it differently. If ever you awaken your Consciousness to see the Love underlying everything, you will see what is holding all together.

THERE IS A KIND OF MYSTERIOUS CONNECTION between the circumference and the center, God and the creation. Why would we create something such as carpentry, painting, music or a building? You may say that we create just to create or to earn money. I am disagreeing with this. Though a builder constructs a building and earns money, is this the only motivating factor? If you go deeper and deeper you will see that everything we do, though not consciously, is from the point of Love.

This unconsciousness is our tragedy. If we were able to see this way, always, there would be no distinction between commerce and Love, between politics and Love. But since we are unaware of that underlying Love, we come down to: I work for my family's upkeep. We come to those material gains, but that is our degradation and fall. Unconsciously we are doing everything because of Love. That Love is conditioned when we say: "I'm doing out of love...I'm helping you because I love you." That is a degraded form of Love. That is why Vedavyas, after attaining this Love, could arrive at saying, "This is my fulfillment, I'm satisfied."
If you are "just doing my duty," why is it that you are not satisfied? You are not doing your duty with Love. You have not reached the stage where your Love would be your natural emanation. When that comes, you will feel fully satisfied. You will not think it is only your duty. The sense of duty is way below this acme of Love. Dharana
3 is way below this Love. In the Bhagavad Gita, after describing all the yogas and paths for Arjuna, Sri Krishna told him: But forget all these karmas, laws, duties, sins and obligations. Just love Me and you will be the highest of yogis. You will be in Oneness with Me.

3 Fixing the mind on a point; a stage in the process of meditation.
